Mike Davis Issues Stark Warning to Letitia James
During a recent episode of “The Benny Show” podcast, Mike Davis, a prominent supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, expressed strong criticism towards New York Attorney General Letitia James.
“To Big Tish James, the New York Attorney General, I challenge you to persist in your legal battles against President Trump during his upcoming term,” stated Davis, who is also the founder of the Article III Project. “Let me be clear: we are not playing games this time around. We will ensure that you face serious consequences for any conspiracy against rights.”
Davis cautioned James to reconsider any actions that might infringe upon President Trump’s constitutional rights or those of any American citizen.
“This will not happen again,” he asserted emphatically.
Legal Battles and Financial Implications
This year, James mandated that Trump pay a bond amounting to $454 million as part of a civil fraud lawsuit alleging that he inflated asset values for more favorable loan terms.
In response, Trump has since filed an appeal. His legal team characterized Judge Arthur Engoron’s decision as “excessive, unlawful, and unconstitutional.”
Political Reactions Following Trump’s Victory
Following Trump’s electoral success on Tuesday, both Attorney General Letitia James and New York Governor Kathy Hochul pledged to counteract any potential backlash or retribution stemming from Trump’s return to power.
Davis Critiques Fulton County’s Fani Willis
Davis also directed criticism at Fulton County Attorney General Fani Willis regarding her charges against Trump related to alleged attempts at overturning the 2020 election results.
“Fani Willis is likely going to be disqualified from this case,” he claimed. “It will be reassigned to another district attorney in Georgia who would think twice before pursuing such charges because objecting to an election outcome is not a crime.”
Willis recently secured re-election by defeating Republican candidate Courtney Kramer.
The Ongoing Investigation into Election Interference
A month after taking office in February 2021, Willis made headlines by announcing her investigation into whether Trump and others violated laws while attempting to reverse his narrow defeat in Georgia against Biden.
The proceedings are currently stalled as Trump and other defendants appeal a ruling permitting Willis’s prosecution efforts.
