Netflix is bringing the world of Squid Game to life like never before.
Release date for ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 confirmed as Netflix announces final season renewal
The streaming powerhouse first ventured into this territory with Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality competition that meticulously replicated some iconic moments from the series, including Red Light Green Light and glass bridge hopscotch. Then, in December 2023, Netflix launched Squid Game: The Trials in Los Angeles, an immersive event that invited enthusiasts to engage directly with thrilling adaptations of the show’s perilous children’s games. Following this success, they are now set to unveil a version titled Squid Game: The Experience in New York City.
Kicking off on October 11 at Manhattan Mall, Squid Game: The Experience welcome players—individually or in groups of up to 24—to vie for domination within the universe of Squid Game. An announcement made by Netflix on August 13 hinted that while several challenges will mirror those seen in the original series, others will be entirely new additions (Red Light Green Light is confirmed and fans can expect the return of their haunting doll Young-hee).
After completing the gaming segment, guests can indulge in Korean cuisine and beverages at a vibrant Night Market or shop for exclusive merchandise at Squid Mart.
The entry fee for attending Squid Game: The Experience bears a starting price of $39 and ticket sales officially opened on August 21 at 10 am ET. For eager attendees looking to secure their spot ahead of time, there’s an opportunity to join the waitlist now for early access tickets.
You can currently stream Season 1 of Squid Game, while Season 2 is set to debut on December 26.
