Accelerate Your Travel Rewards with Southwest Airlines’ New Promotion
Travelers have the opportunity to elevate their status with Southwest Airlines through a limited-time offer aimed at boosting tier placements for 2025. To benefit from this initiative, customers need to register and complete qualifying flights or relevant purchases prior to November 30.
Enhancing Status Ease for Travelers
This latest program allows customers to accumulate points through various avenues, not only from flights but also via travel rewards. This change is designed specifically to assist individuals in attaining both the A-List and A-List Preferred tier statuses. Participation requires online registration for the promotion, followed by either flight completion or qualifying expenditure before the end of November.
“We are reviving this sought-after promotion to provide our Rapid Rewards members an expedited pathway towards achieving A-List and A-List Preferred status,” stated Jonathan Clarkson, Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Southwest Airlines. “Members enjoy numerous perks through our Rapid Rewards program including priority boarding, enhanced point accumulation, free same-day standby options, and flexibility in last-minute changes,” he added. Those holding A-List Preferred status receive all these benefits plus complimentary WiFi access and premium drink offerings.
Enhanced Earning Potential Through Purchases
Furthermore, Southwest is elevating its reward system for credit card transactions related to travel. Members possessing a Rapid Rewards credit card will now earn an additional 2,000 tier qualifying points when they spend $5,000 using their Priority, Premier or Plus Consumer credit cards from Chase as well as the Premier and Plus Business cards. These accumulate on top of existing tier qualifying rewards.
Addtionally, travelers can rack up points through qualified expenditures on car rentals or hotel reservations made with Rapid Rewards partners during this period; every earned base point will count as one tier qualifying point until November 30—with an overall cap of up to 5,000 total points allowed.
The Companion Pass Option: Popular Among Frequent Flyers
A highlight of the benefits offered by Southwest includes its well-regarded Companion Pass program. This initiative enables pass holders to select a companion who can fly at minimal cost—merely paying taxes and fees per flight booked together. There are two ways travelers can qualify for this pass: By completing either 100 one-way flights or gathering a total of 135,000 qualifying points throughout one calendar year.
If you’re aiming for more exclusive travel experiences in upcoming years—don’t miss out on registering before it’s too late!
