Kennedy’s Potential Role in Trump’s Administration
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has revealed that former President Donald Trump intends to grant him significant authority over the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as well as the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Kennedy stated that Trump “promised” him oversight of “public health agencies, including HHS and its sub-agencies such as the CDC, FDA, NIH, among others,” in addition to the USDA.
This information surfaced through a video clip that has gained traction online.
The New York Times reported that Kennedy mentioned via text message that this video was part of an internal discussion with campaign staff focused on mobilizing voters for Trump.
“I am prepared to assist him in eliminating widespread conflicts and corruption within public health agencies while reinstating their commitment to gold-standard, evidence-based science,” Kennedy expressed in a statement cited by the outlet.

The roles of HHS secretary and USDA secretary are both critical cabinet-level positions within the government structure.

“While no formal decisions regarding Cabinet appointments have been finalized yet, President Trump has indicated his willingness to collaborate with passionate advocates like RFK Jr., aiming to Make America Healthy Again by ensuring families have access to safe food and addressing the chronic disease crisis affecting our youth,” stated Karoline Leavitt, national press secretary for Trump’s campaign.
Kennedy’s Political Journey
Kennedy initially sought the Democratic presidential nomination but later transitioned into an independent candidacy before ultimately endorsing Trump after withdrawing from the race.

Trump affirmed, “I am.”
Durring a recent rally at Madison Square Garden, Trump declared he would allow Kennedy free rein over matters related to health policy as well as food production and medicine.
“One of my first actions upon returning @realDonaldTrump back into office will be removing ultra-processed foods from school lunch programs,” Kennedy tweeted enthusiastically.

He emphasized their plan is not only about reform but also about replacing compromised officials with dedicated public servants committed to integrity.
