The entertainment world is in mourning following the tragic news of former One Direction member Liam Payne‘s passing.
On Wednesday, October 16, it was reported that Payne died at the age of 31 after suffering injuries from a fall off a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. The incident occurred at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, as confirmed by Us Weekly.
Payne first gained fame in 2008 when he participated in the British talent show The X Factor. Although he was eliminated initially, he returned in 2010 and became part of One Direction, a boy band formed by Simon Cowell that also featured Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. The group achieved massive success with hits like “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Story of My Life.”
A devoted father to his son Bear, whom he welcomed with ex-partner Cheryl Cole in March 2017, Payne’s legacy extends beyond music.
