Anticipated Color Addition for the iPhone 16 Pro: Desert Titanium
A recent report suggests that Apple may introduce a fresh color option for its highly awaited iPhone 16 Pro, echoing familiar aesthetics. According to prolific leaker Majin Bu, this new hue will be termed Desert Titanium. They describe it as a dark gold shade reminiscent of previous colors like the lighter purple variant seen in earlier models.
The anticipated palette for the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to encompass “white, black, gold, and gray,” with Bu providing an image showcasing the camera rings across both the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max variants.
While it’s unclear which “older purple color” Bu references, it’s worth noting that past iterations such as the iPhone 14 Pro were available in a light Gold and Deep Purple tone. Historically, several versions of Rose Gold have adorned Apple devices since debuting with the iPhone 6S.

Whispers surrounding the new device also mention an alternative name possibility—Rose Gold Titanium—which lacks appeal; however, most sources seem to lean toward Desert Titanium as its official identity. This aligns closely with suggestions that we might see something akin to bronze integrated into this color family.
The current iteration of Apple’s flagship phones—the iPhone 15 Pro series—offers four distinct colors: Natural Titanium, White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Blue Titanium. Speculation suggests that Blue would likely be swapped out for Desert Titanium in future releases. However, until Apple officially reveals these details at their anticipated September launch event, we can only rely on these emerging rumors.
