Samsung’s Frame TV Expands Art Collection with MoMA
Samsung continues to enhance the artistic offerings available on The Frame TV. This innovative television transforms into a stunning piece of artwork when not in use, seamlessly integrating into your home decor.
The artworks featured are predominantly from the public domain, meaning they can be freely used due to expired copyrights or relinquished rights by their creators. Consequently, older masterpieces are more prevalent on The Frame TV. However, this landscape has shifted recently.
New Artworks from MoMA Now Available
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York has made 37 iconic pieces from its collection accessible through the Samsung Art Store. Notable works include Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night,” Henri Rousseau’s “The Dream,” Georgia O’Keeffe’s “Evening Star III,” and Frida Kahlo’s “Fulang Chang and I.”
“MoMA is dedicated to inspiring creativity and enriching minds. Our partnership with Samsung allows us to expand access to our collection in an innovative manner for millions worldwide,” stated Robin Sayetta, Head of Business Development at MoMA. “We intentionally curated this digital collection with the hope of enhancing cultural appreciation and historical knowledge at an unprecedented scale.”
Sang Kim, Executive Vice President and General Manager of North America Service Business at Samsung Electronics, remarked, ”At Samsung, we aim to revolutionize home entertainment through ongoing innovation. Our collaboration with MoMA enables us to introduce culturally significant artworks into homes across the globe—allowing individuals to connect with renowned art like never before.” He emphasized that this initiative reflects Samsung’s commitment to leveraging technology for exceptional consumer experiences.
