Expanded Travel Choices for the Philadelphia Area
Avelo Airlines is enhancing its services in the Delaware and Philadelphia areas, marking over a year since it reinstated commercial operations at Wilmington Airport.
New Destinations Set to Launch
This innovative airline will introduce a fresh route from Wilmington Airport (ILG) to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) in Atlanta. Additionally, Avelo plans to revive flights to several beloved Florida locations such as Palm Beach, starting this November, as revealed by the airline. With these new additions, Avelo will offer non-stop service to a total of 13 destinations from Wilmington.
A State-of-the-Art Fleet for Affordable Travels
The budget-friendly carrier’s new routes will be conducted using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
The Voice of Avelo’s Leadership
“Feedback from our passengers indicates that they appreciate the accessibility, affordability, and dependability we provide at ILG,” said Andrew Levy, Founder and CEO of Avelo Airlines. He expressed pride in being recognized as the preferred airline for residents in the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area while also emphasizing their commitment to expanding service at ILG.
Flight Schedule and Promotions
The newly established flights to Atlanta are set to operate bi-weekly on Mondays and Fridays beginning November 8. To commemorate this launch, promotional fares start as low as $46 one-way if booked by August 13 for travel between November 8 and November 18.
Resuming Service in Florida’s Hotspots
Avelo is also reintroducing flights to key Florida cities with twice-weekly services starting with Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) on November 7—operating Thursdays and Sundays. The Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) routes will resume on Mondays and Fridays starting November 8. Furthermore, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) service is expected to kick off on Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning November 23.
A Brief History of Avelo Airlines’ Growth
Founded in 2021, Avelo made its return to Delaware’s skies earlier this year after a hiatus during which commercial air travel came to a standstill within the region. Since then, it has progressively expanded its route selections—most notably launching operations toward Puerto Rico last year—and announcing future international routes targeting Mexico and Jamaica just last month.
The Ultra-Low-Cost Airline Model Explained
Avelo Airlines embraces an ultra-low-cost business strategy that includes additional fees for features such as seat selection or baggage allowances beyond personal items.
