Harris Maintains Narrow Advantage Over Trump Amid Voter Concerns
Recent polling data indicates that Vice President Kamala Harris retains a slight edge over former President Donald Trump, despite Trump’s growing popularity on key voter issues.
A poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos on Tuesday revealed that Harris leads Trump nationally with 45% to 42%, a difference that falls within the margin of error. In contrast, Trump has garnered 45% support regarding economic issues, while Harris trails at 40%. Notably, a previous poll from late November showed only a three-point advantage for Trump in this area.
On healthcare matters, however, Harris demonstrates significant strength with a commanding lead of 14 points over Trump. Additionally, she holds an advantage of 43% to 38% when it comes to addressing political extremism and safeguarding democracy.
The Reuters survey included responses from 938 adults across the United States and comprised feedback from 807 registered voters. Among these participants, 769 were identified as likely voters for the upcoming election. The polling concluded on Sunday.
