The project was initially titled “Pussy Island,” but has been rebranded as “Blink Twice,” a move that took place in 2024.
Kravitz had not interacted with Tatum prior to his casting; however, they previously shared voice roles in the animated film “The Lego Batman Movie” released back in 2017. The script for this film underwent a rigorous five-year process of co-writing and editing alongside E.T. Feigenbaum.
“Blink Twice” narrates the story of Frida, a cocktail waitress who finds herself entangled with Slater King, a wealthy tech entrepreneur played by Tatum.
“He was my ideal choice right from the start—my inspiration when I envisioned Slater’s character,” expressed Kravitz during an interview with Deadline. She believed that through his experience on projects like ‘Magic Mike’ coupled with his performance artistry, he would resonate well with themes she aimed to explore within this work.
